INFECTION CONTROL
CLEANING AND STERILIZATION OF THE TOPICAL HYPERBARIC
EXTREMITY CHAMBER
The chamber, rings, and humidifier should be wiped clean using either a hospital-approved antiseptic or our TOPOX CLEAN at the start and after treatment on a given patient. Follow the same technique whenever the chamber is soiled or contaminated. Since the chamber, rings, and humidifier do not come into direct contact with the lesion, this clean technique is generally sufficient to maintain its operational standard.
Should you desire to sterilize the chamber, the chamber and rings must be soaked in water cleaning solution, following the products' directions for chemosterilization. When using with any of the above procedures, randomly culture the chamber to assure the chamber is clean and free from bacterial growth.

NOTE: DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE, DISCOLORING, OR
AGENTS CONTAINING IODINE IN CLEANING, DISINFECTING,
OR STERILIZING THE CHAMBER AS IT MAY PERMANENTLY
DAMAGE AND MAR THE CHAMBER AND ITS COMPONENTS. |
